guys, as i told you the news prior to it hitting the press last week about the 'gang of 4' leaving and more recently TT and chimbo the other day agreeing personal terms ... teemu tainio this evening has completed his move to sunderland. chimbo will follow shortly...
as a spurs fan, teemu gave it his all EVERY time he put on the famous shirt. he might of had his fair share of injuries over the years but i for one will be clapping him on his return to white hart lane in august.
chimbo is a different kettle of fish, i'm told he is now sunderlands top earner... this is the guy who handed in a transfer request one day after a season with wigan and who was on big bucks at the lane. think that says it all.. still, he's had his part to play over the years and was a member of our carling cup winning side in feb with teemu. good luck fella.
moving on from the past, to the future.
i've been asked why i've been quiet on the talk of a certain russian captain...
well i didn't have enough info until now, but can confirm that we had 3 members of our scouting system watching him in the flesh tonight when zenit played. one of them was our sporting director...
finally, as previously mentioned too - robinson to blackburn could well be on now that brad friedel, who i must say has been an excellent servant to rovers down the years, is heading to villa. been told robbo is the number one target. again it could fall into place with the bentley deal... i'm hoping to have an update on these two deals very very shortly.
